We are a team of dyslexia & specific learning difficulties specialist teachers, assessors & educational psychologists. We are passionate about offering support, assessments, teaching & training to meet the needs of our service users.
Hazel Warner BSc, PGCE, PGC SEN, PGD SpLD, AMBDA, APC, MDG
Hazel Warner is the Director of Dyslexia North West. Hazel was formerly Area Manager for Dyslexia Action in the North West of England, Principal at Dyslexia Action, Wilmslow, Senior Leader within Education and has a wealth of experience teaching children from the age of 5 through to supporting university students and beyond. She is a qualified trainer on Read and Write Gold, supports schools and is a Workplace Consultant and Specialist Assessor.
She has worked on the DFE sponsored ‘Soundcheck’ Project, being filmed by the BDA for teacher training and establishing the ‘Manchester School of Excellence.’
Hazel has a team of teachers that work alongside her, who are fully qualified and available to support and assess students across the North West, in school/college/university, in the Dyslexia North West Centres and at home.
Liz Wilcox BA (Hons) Law PGCE FE/HE, PGD SpLD FE/HE, AMBDA, APC
Liz is a current education consultant with Dyslexia North West, carrying out DSA assessments and tuition within schools. Liz also worked alongside Hazel, as the Literacy and Dyslexia Specialist for children and adults, in the north-west area of Dyslexia Action. Prior to this she spent many years employed within the learning support department of Tameside College
Jill Rowland BA (Hons), PGCE, PGC SpLD
Jill specialises in working with children across the age ranges at Dyslexia North West. She used to work alongside Hazel at Dyslexia Action for many years, advising on the Units of Sounds software. She specialises in maths learning support as well as literacy and has always been held in very high esteem, due to her extensive success with those she teaches.

Over 20 years’ experience of working with Pre-school, Early Years, Children and Adults.
Diagnostic Assessments for Children from age 6 years and adults (including for employment and Occupational Health) for Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia.
GCSE and A-Level Examination Access Arrangements, and Disabled Student Allowances (DSAs) for University.
